I imagine this effect of this will be - rise in cost of firewood- esp downstate/ Long Island. Maybe the same guy came up with this is the one who wants to tax cow farts. Most of the ash trees in my woods are dead/dying- I've been cutting them for firewood for the last 2 or 3 years. They are too small for logs but nice size for firewood. ( I dont sell any- so dont send the DEC to check my wood baking oven). Actually come to think of it I'm baking a couple pieces of ash now- in the furnace. I imagine it will be "well done" by now.
