sounds high to me. I know in 2000 a 30 x 40 was $5400 endwalls included and it was NOT easy to put up. First arch is like spagetti, doesn't start having any rigidity till the 3 or 4th arch is added. 6000 bolts. Cannot tighten them till whole building is up (finger tighten only) then later have one guy on top and one underneath tightening ONE at a time. They adverstse "build it over a weekend" YA RIGHT! I will be honest with you, I will never put one of those up again. I have seen many many old ones that are sturdy. Those newer ones especially from the company you mentioned are thin and kinda flimsy. And you said open ended meaning you have to build your own endwalls? I would pass or offer him about half what he wants. If he has any sense, he will take any offer to cut his losses.
