On some newer cars and trucks they use the same wire with different frequency sensors. They all share the same wire but send different signals. This is what they call multiplexing. It cuts down on the amount of wires needed thus cutting down on the weight of the vehicle. You can purchase the same set up at radio shack to turn lights off and on in your home without doing any wiring.
The way it was explained to me is; if your wife is on a plane with 300 other women and they all get off, how can you tell which one is your wife, they're all women!!
What I'm trying to say is maybe one of your sensors is bad, or the level of the coolant is just low, they do have sensors for that too!
