Talk about that kind of thing. There was quite a racket going on here for a while between a milk hauler and a patron. The hauler would add weight to the guys weight slip. In exchange,the producer would order butter,about half as much as the value of the imaginary milk. He'd give the butter to the hauler,which he would sell. To make up the difference for the added weight,the hauler filled 5 gallon pails with water and put it in the supply compartments on the truck. After he unloaded,before he weighed back out,he would hose the truck down real good,including the inside of the compartments. Of course he'd pull the bungs out of the pails,turn them over so they would drain out with all the other water that was running off the truck. You'd have thought it was an FBI sting operation when they nailed him. They sat up a camera in the Mexican resturant across the road from the milk plant and got him on film doing it. It was quite an operation for quite a while.
