True. The markings on the coil are to identify the primary and the secondary windings of the coil. The original lead from the switched side of the battery went to the primary and the marking on the coil terminal corresponded to the factory battery arrangement. Therefore, this terminal on the coil is the primary regardless of how the battery is now configured (postive or negative ground). I do not intend to participate in an argument on this topic so those that want to debate the issue need to open their rebuttal in a separate posting.
