Gentlemen: Thanks very, very much for your safety-related advice. This is exactly the kind of thing I need to hear. I grew up driving an 8N on a farm with no steep hills. This stuff would not have occurred to me. Ok, so can you point me toward a particular category of tractors I should be considering? I was looking for low-and-wide on the theory it would defend against the side-to-side roll-over problem. Is there a make/model that combines low center-of-gravity with hefty weight, good balance and 35-40 HP? Is there any line of tractors with 28 or 30 inch rears that has enough weight?Something probably from the 60's for $5K or less? Is a Ford 4000 getting there (about 4500#)? Or should I be going back to the Oliver 770 or 880 I liked but thought was too tall? Some of the John Deere utilities (like a 1020) look "heftier" -- are they? Is there any central source for learning the wieght of a particular model? Again, thanks so much for your help. I don't care what color the tractor is, but I do want it to be safe! Bob

If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
