I find your response interesting. I get the fact that you are against drinking and driving, no dispute with anything there as NO ONE SHOULD DRINK AND DRIVE! Now on the other hand why shouldn't the insurance company pay? This person paid them. Now what if I am the injured party that got hit by this person. If the insurance doesn't pay and this person loses everything due to their lack of thought before getting behind the wheel then the reality is that I, the innocent party get punished. Why? because my property or myself is injured and the insurance doesn't pay, the driver doesn't pay. Sorry but I feel that insurance should and does cover stupidity whether that is not turning your heat on and letting your house pipes freeze and flood your house or if you drove in an impaired condition. You don't have to agree but I feel that you should rethink your position for the injured parties concern.
