With this belt setup, are you talking about having the tractor belted up to something, and having a twist in the belt? Then a guy pinches the belt just before the twist, between his hands with pressure from his knees. I don't have anything here to belt up to but I sure would like to see someone try it with something like an R or a 70. It doesn't make sense that a tractor like that can take into a load like a 3 or 4 bottom plow in the ground but wouldn't be able to break the friction a guy put on the belt. I am thinking with some of the other tractors that the belt is driven thru a bunch of gears, that you may be right. I just can't see that being a problem with a belt pulley on a Deere. I will have to see this spring if I can find someone around that I can borrow a belt driven implement for a few minutes.
