Mines the "07 Classic 4x4, before they changed the body style. I love it, tons of power, good brakes, rides great. I put a cold air intake and a chip, keep it on the tow/economy setting (+60 hp). Thing runs like a scalded dog if I"m feeling like a teenager. I gotta make complaint here: There is not a 3/4 ton duramax diesel out there that gets 25 mpg, unless its going down hill with a stiff breeze at its back for many miles and the engine shut off. The Dodge guys are the worst, at the diesel pump "I get 27 on the hiway". BS. Maybe they make those trucks, but they don"t sell them to me. On a long highway trip averaging 65 mph and burning several tanks of fuel, mine got 19.2 once. Using math, not the truck"s computer. Expect 16 mpg around town, 17-18 on the hiway, and 9-12 towing. I"ll get off my soapbox, I don"t know much about the early models but my "07 is great.
