You've got a 1945 102 Jr Row Crop according to a list I've got here. This model of tractor came out in '39 along with the 101 Jr . Originally, the 101 was the gas version and the 102's were low grade fuel versions (distillate). They were produced until 1946. About 1/2 way through production, the sheet metal and grilles changed to a louvered pressed steel grille with 2 panel side-covers on each side. Some other minor changes also were made. Earlier, they had a cheaper wire-mesh grille and single side-covers on each side. After the changeover, the models stayed the same in the states, but those exported to Canada (and probably Austrailia) were all designated as 102's and were gas models. These would have been the same as the later models of 101's in the states. Both had the little flathead 4 cylinder Continental engine of either 124, 140, or 162 cubic inches. Yours being a later production model probably had the 140 or 162 version (all were the same except for cylinder bore size). I have 2 model 101 Jrs, both being 1940, one is restored and the other is about half done.

Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
