I know some people will laugh at this, but it's kinda true. Jim Cramer was on the today show, or one of them morning show's. HE made some predictions that markets were gonna come down and that people should invest in energy(including oil), medical, and technology. This was quite a while ago, before the ramp up. Well, it didnt take long after the day of that show and they all started to be heavily invested in. He also advised, before the stockmarket got really bad, that people need to pull out a "save haven" of cash to live on so they wouldnt lose it all in the markets when they need it for retiremment soon, and he also said people need to start saving more and spending less, regarless of income. Many, many people followed that advice. the poor guy was just trying ot be helpful and , in my mind, was right on. They had him on another show a month of two ago and the person doing the interview was trying to talk like Cramer was the reason for the downfall of the markets. Poor guy. Gives good advice and gets hit by a media schmuck with a blame game like that.
