I could give you my mother in laws phone number, you can vist her and then decide for yourself.
I think she is under the assumption it doesn't stink however.
Human food with all the goodies digested is pretty high on the scale. Over the pond they have no septic system so it had to be burned and stired.
I stood in the front row three days in a row thinking they would pick a different row the next day. The front row was where they assumed the volenteer crap burners stood. I was trying to over think the issue.
I was in a basement of a lived in house, over thirty cats, and three large dogs were kept in the basment 24/7. approx eight inches of damp litter, no bedding at all, and must of had a rich diet in fish products. Walking into the house help prepare you for the basment journey, making it some what less discusting.
I could not ask the guys to go down there, so I repaired the water pipe myself. I found out over the years that two other plumbers were at the house, but refused to go into the basment untill it was cleaned up. It was one of those jobs that you did not stand back and admire your work for long.

Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
