As a manager in a manufacturing plant for many years. Many times I was required to keep it quiet when there was downsizing in the near future. I seen many people be assured everthing was fine and thier job was safe, then came black monday or black friday, and they were out the door. I hated it. The worst part of that world is having some one your planning on terminating, train in the person that will be replaceing them under the assumption that person is there to relieve thier work load. Any one hear how deep Best Buy cuts will be? I have a few family memebers that work there and am wondering how they will fare getting layed off and having the Beemers, Hummers, and a palace for a home, all on botrrowed cash.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
