So THAT would be in one of the books that the editors of the bible decided to include because it furthered their agenda: controling the people? Are you even aware of the history of the bible and that for every book (and I would guess that I am at least as familiar with them as most anyone on here) that was included in the bible, there are several that were rejected? Or are you one of those folks that just figures God dropped it out of the sky on some guy speaking with a burning bush, or some guy walking around in the mountains who stumbled on it at the same time he tripped on the 15 oops 10 commandments (He dropped one of the slates containg 5 of the commandments...honest, I saw it in The History of the World Part I!) Let's talk about the 10 commandments: if you really wanted to control these people that were embracing TRUE Christianity, thus threatening your Pagan (not a bad thing just another religion that is based on nature and equality...certainly not devil worship as the bible would have you believe) Empire ,wouldn't you want to convince them that their God, a VENGEFUL GOD expected them to follow "these 10 simple rules" (not bad rules to follow by the way if you make that decision on your own)? I don't give my views on religion much because since The Davinci Code, everyone assumes that's where they came from, but rest assured my views were in place long before that (good movie, excellent book if somewhat sensational in it's treatment of Christianity), my extended family includes some pretty heavy bible thumpers, including one of The Reverend Billy Grahams's right hand men. I have read, studied and been told what the bible means...I rarely see any connection between what someone tells me it means, and what it does mean. I am not putting down Christianity...my beliefs lean that way in a vague but much more pragmatic way.
