My dad has an older Chevy k3500 with a 6.2L diesel. The motor went to hell at just under 100K miles. He thought he was pretty lucky to get it replaced with the 100K factory warranty. However, the brand new engine GM put in to replace it blew up about a year later with very few miles on it. No warranty on replacements though.
