Massey 44 High Altitude

I just looked at a Massey 44 I am considering buying and was wondering about the High Altitude option. What is it? Is it a higher compression engine to make better use of the thinner air? Or just a carburator difference? Also, how difficult is it to put a three point on it. For the price I will have a tough time passing up the deal. Thanks for any help.
