A couple of comments. Electricity travels near the speed of light (186,000 miles/second) while the actual electrons (objects with mass) move about an inch/second. Nowadays we describe current flow as + to - in the external circuit and electron flow as - to + in the external current. Most electrical and electronic symbols with arrows indicate + to - current flow. Sometimes the reasons why something is done the way it is, is very hard to determine. Some ones theory, someone elses patent, etc. It is however important to have wiring properly setup so the spark in the plugs goes from the center post to the shell not the other way around. How is this for mudding the pot?
