Follow the battery lead to the starter. Disconnect the spark plug(s) so it won't actually start. Then jump it again. Ground the negative lead as usual, touch the positive lead to the starter post that the battery cable hooks to. This will eliminate all the starter circuit except the motor itself. If it turns over at this point, start backing up, following the cable. Corroded cables, bad cable connectors, loose connections and bad solenoid, more or less in that order, are the likely culprits. The battery may well be dead too, as the same problems will keep it from charging. Let us know how you make out.
