Bob, did there happen to be a serial # break where they changed the polarity? I believe the book I have was printed in 1947 (form 5630 6500 7-47)if I deciphre it right.
In the battery section it quotes "When removing terminals, remove grounded or (negative) terminal first". The illustrated tractor they show does not have hydraulics. Only the motor lift is shown so it's for whatever serial number was before hydraulics were put on them. Maybe I should have posted theis in the Case forum.
