How big is the cylinder? How often will it cycle. That enters in with tank size. For PTO's PTO's on a manual transmission run the opposite direction of those on an Allison. It also makes a difference if it is a single gear PTO or a 2 gear PTO or a 2 gear with a geared adapter If it is a gear pump, hold the part of the pump that does not have the drive shaft next to your stomach with the drive shaft pointing up. If the large port or suction port is on the left it is a clockwise rotation pump. If on the otherside it is counterclockwise rotation. If both ports are the same size it will pump running either direction. Clear? If not let me know. Also remeber rule of thumb it take 1 Horsepower for each one gallon pumped at 1500 PSI.
