Mark, You may find what you are looking for in the west central part of the state or even over in the south west corner north of I-44 along the 70 highway corodor. However Missouri land is NOT CHEAP anywhere in the state. California folks moving in with huge home sale profits (before the bust) have driven $300 an acre land to $1800 and $1500 an acre land to $3000 or more. Of course they are now broke and trying to figure out how to feed themselves.
