The Tata isn't much of a car, but it is quite an upgrade for most families there. I was just in India last month, and this guy passed me on his 125cc Honda. This is the most on a motorcycle I have seen. A Typical family will have dad driving, a 4 year old sitting on the tank, mom sitting sidesaddle, holding a 9 month old in one hand and groceries in the other hand. I am totally serious about this. This is why a cheap, crappy car is what is really needed in India.
