Hey folks,
Looking for some advise on a good idea grenade that is about to blow up in my pocket...
I'm thinking about getting a pre computer, pre fuel injection, pre a whole bunch of other fancy stuff pickup and shipping it over here (Germany) to use around the place and as a daily driver and pulling a 2 ton (max) trailer.
Interested in a pre 1973 Chevy or pre 1980 Ford. Reasonable gas mileage would be nice and a standard transmission a necessity. Also would have to pass emissions.
4x4 a big plus but I remember a chevy w/ a positrac rear end doing just as good as a 4wd for everyday farm/firewood work.
Am I dreaming?
What should I be looking for, and where should I be looking to find a solid vehicle (foundation) that is affordable?
Thanks, Dave
I posted this on yesterday's trucks also, just want to see what you folks have to say.
