I am 25 miles se of Brookings or 8 s of Elkton, If you heard a Dodge dsl. with a straight pipe in the early eve. on Feb. 15 it was me!! We went to sturgis to get a tractor, took my son to the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore and a few other sights. I really like the hills, kid got to see mule deer, big horn sheep, prairie dogs, a mt. goat and some antelope eating some ranchers hay along 34. Not things we see on the flatlands of e SD/ w Mn, Been to the rally on bike, like to go again sometime, have alot more of the hills to explore would also like to get to the threshing show at sturgis , maybe this summer. I know the locals hate the rally, nearly impossible to get to their jobs, ect. Friend that I got the tractor from lives east of sturgis 15mi. but works at New Holland on the west end of sturgis so he has to navigate the rat race every day. Suppose if a person had one of those old fenced in missle silo enclosures on their land it would be a good place to put hay so the wildlife couldn't eat it.
