The horse slaughter law went into law just a year or two ago. Since then horses have been shipped to canada and mexico for processing. The value of horses is next to nothing now cause there is nothing to do with them, and shipping is expensive. Have heard its a good idea to keep your pasture gates locked cause people are looking to get rid of their horses now the the economy is bad. You can thank peta and the humane society of the united states for the law. Now i hear they are pushing to make it illeagel to ship horses off to to canada and mexico. So yes the FB is for the reopening of processing facility in the US.
