I skin a lot of critters in the fall and got tired of wasting time sharpening...
I have ended up using a Dunn system..mounts on a bench grinder ..one wheel has grit to put the inital edge..other wheel uses buffing compound to put the finish on....I have a cheap bench grinder Ive comitted to this...saves taking wheels on/off...
Note: make sure you lay knife on wheel properly...I had to put a note on my grinder so in case someone uses it they know it turns backwards....I mistakenly shot a knife across the garage due to forgetting about the rotation.. :shock: I have the grinder flipped so that the switch is facing away....this allows me to lay the knife on top of the wheel to better see the edge forming...
