I am 48, my dad is in late stage kidney disease. He is always critical of my decisions, always has been. I bought 2 neighbors farms, he warned me not to do it because I was a fool. Ask him now and he will tell you it was his idea and I was bright to follow his advice. I am sure this is his last year of life. Appreciate them when you have them.
