Back in the early 60's one of my High School classmates was adamant that there was at least one in the Oberlin, KS area. My parents saw at least one a couple of miles Northeast of Oberlin one time and believe they watched another one just outside their back door about 20 years ago (about 10 miles NE of Oberlin). Mom says he just sat on his haunches and looked at the house for a while and then trotted off.
