A contentious topic ratting just below religion and politics. Oil and equipment today is different in 2009 than 1969 where many beliefs originate. Today vehicles are fuel injected, electronic ignition, computer controlled and burn low sulfur unleaded fuel. People understand LP engines over the past 50+ years having long plug life, clean running and fresh looking oil. People don't realize the gassers of today run as clean as the LP's of the past. Certainly gassers of old when running cold with high sulfur leaded gasoline with the choke often forgotten. With 1/2 plugged air filters and fouled plugs along with tired points. The DID need for frequent changes BACK then. I never seen the sense of draining out clean usable oil that has plenty of additives left.
