In 1979 I was trading off a 1070 Case, hoping to own a new 4440 but ended up with a 1086 instead. A dealer can throw out any figure he wants, but the 1086 was supposedly listing for around $32000 and the 4440 was a couple thousand above that. The color of the tractor I had to trade in was against me, and at the time no Deere dealer in my area wanted a Case on their used lot, but one IH dealer didn't care so he bid $4000 under the nearest bid from a Deere dealer and sold me a tractor. One Deere dealer outright told me he didn't want my Case. This was a really nice white 1070 with 1800 hours and it didn't have a scratch on it. Jim
