Not much different from a 1020. Same engine, same trans IF a collar shift, just slightly different hydraulics and no gas-engine option. Unlike tractors like 1020s and up that had collar shift transmissions only, 820s were available with three transmission options - a sliding gear trans with 8th gear left out, a sliding gear trans WITH 8th gear, or a collar shift trans like the 1020s and other North American tractors used. I assume it was a German thing.
