The tec. for the company that sold and installed it was excided to watch it spinning away. His words was that it cost beteen $10,000.00 and $12.000.00 and would save the church $200.00 a year. Gosh,,, A 50 year payoff if it never needed maintance.
Supervisor of Harrison Twp, MI (east side of state) wants to put up windmills on the shores of Lake St. Clair. I've been on the lake on more calm days than windy days. Jenny (the Gov) and gang are counting on Wind Power to save Michigan's economy. Just goes to show what kind of brain trusts are running the state. There are places where windmills MIGHT get a return on investment. I don't think Michigan is one of them. They should be focusing on getting us weaned off oil for our cars (electric or hydrogen fuel cell) and build nuclear power plants to provide the additional electric power to do it. Sounds simple but they'd run into a few tree-huggers and NIMBYs that will protest and nix the deals and the politicians of today don't have the kohoneys to stand up to them.
