From what I understand of solar activity and the weather (and it ain't much) solar activity doesn't just change in a day or two. Carbon dating of the remains of trees at high elevations and ice core and silt core samples prove without a shadow of a doubt,that the sun pulses. It's a 700 year cycle in which there is massive solar activity for 350 years followed by 350 years of calm. The years of high activity cause warming on earth,the lack of activity causes it to get colder. We peaked in the 20th century. Solar activity is ceasing and it's causing colder weather and will for the next three and a half centuties. As for WHY solar activity causes the heating and cooling,seems simple enough to me. The sun is hotter during the times of high activity,cooler during times of calm. I saw a show in TLC one time explaining why the pulsing occurs,but I ain't smart enough to have remembered it or able to really explain it.
