The Select-O-Speed transmission is considered to be less desirable that the five-speed manual version, so consider that when comparing with similar tractors for sale in your area.
You absolutely must get the tractor running to get a fair price. No buyer will purchase any tractor, particularly a 601 or 801 SOS, without confirming that the transmission is good. Non-running, you're looking at scrap value (< 1000 bucks). Get it running and you should get between two and three thousand for the tractor, depending on condition. $2000 for a tractor in running condition but rough appearance, $3000 if running and good appearance. To get much more than $3000 would require the tractor to be in "like-new" condition.
