Now y'all are beginning to sound like my motorcycle bulletin board buddies! I appreciate the info and am beginning to weed it all out. I have relatively flat land that is seasonally wet. I want to work the tractor yet keep it up also. I have always wanted to work the land for my family but not try to make a living off of my farming abilities, or lack thereof. I am 42 and never had a farm to grow up on. I kinda' wish I did for some of the values there are lost today in "town". Forgive me for the second post but wasn't quite sure how to keep the discussion going with questions and all and keep it current. My wife's family has an old 2000 ford I may concentrate on as it is the most affordable with implements. Then again,...I will keep looking and asking questions. There is a gentleman near here who always has several new looking tractors in his yard for sale. I may pay him a visit and "pick his brain". Thanks.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
