I don't think they intend it to ever be installed. You can use it to adjust the linkage if you are careful. Usually just as easy to relieve the load on the link and turn it by hand. If you need to adjust under tension, the supplied handle is too short. I have a 2 ft long bar I keep with the tractor that fits thru both holes to adjust the link. Another way to adjust it under tension is with a good pipe wrench. I have also seen flat spots on some of the aftermarket third links so you could use an adjustable (Crescent) wrench on them. DOUG
