Some of those old cast iron main chambers have bronze bushings for the shafts to revolve in/on so "iF " there are not any rubber seals or something that will melt nearby use a small headed tip (pencil type) with some Mapp/propane fuel and heat the two support bushings and you should be good to go. Another method I have used is to boil it in water and then take it out using a good pair of leather work gloves so you don't get burned to be able to hold on to the base as you work the shaft back and forth,,,,, otherwise . what I have found to work fairly well with seized parts is rubbing alcohol for starters and then ATF mixed.
