98 Dodge AWD van - rear driveshaft mount

I just got a reminded why I hate newer vehicles. I've got a 98 Dodge Grand Caravan AWD. To, me, 98 is new - just about the newest vehicle I own.

Has a knocking sound in back on bumpy roads that's getting worse and worse. I put it on a lift and found it's the rubber mount that supports the rear driveshaft to the body. Horsehoe-shaped and held by two bolts. Looks like a regular driveshaft support bearing - except on this the outside of the driveshaft is stationary - so there is no bearing. Just a steel cased rubber mount. The outside steel tube is called a torque-tube by Chrysler. So, this mount that looks like it might be a $20 item - is so far - not available aftermarket. I called Chrysler, and they only sell it as part of the torque tube and NOT as a separate part. $975 !! This is why I still have several cars and trucks from the 60s to early 90s.

Anybody ever found a cheap and/or easy fix? I'm temped to clamp a piece of old tire around it and find a way to clamp it to the body for that price.
And I thought Deere parts prices were crazy.
