I was at a tractor pull this weekend an a puller had me look at his sediment bowl. He said why is my gas separating in the bowl. I said water is why. I don't know why I told him, because after he dumped the water out he beat me in that class.
Yes they sometimes start to leak, but so will a tire if you wear it out. They sell gaskets for them at parts stores and farm stores. When I buy a tractor without one, I put one on.
