When I inspected the tractor originally, at operating temp, I noticed some "spitting" from the upper hose; no problem, replace a $7 hose!! Also, I didn't seen any film of gunk on the dipstick. I thought water always showed on the dipstick! Besides new valves, and after magnafluxing the head is there anything else that I should check for water leakage? The sleeves are worn, but seem within spec. I see no noticeable/visual cracks, but am worried that I'll put it all together, and will have missed the problem. The head crack seems so small, that I have a hard time believing that all of the water is coming from the head. I need to put the old Ford to work soon and would appreciate any additional feedback. Thanks in advance for any additional input.
