I am a fairly strong for my age and size person and I can't pull straight up on my Case LA, the compression an size of the piston (100 CID per cylinder) pretty much puts a stop to that. I found that I can pull it near the top then rock it until I can pull it over the top. Smaller tractors are much easier to start but when one get a hold of 403 CID 4 cylinder engines with high compression you just have to be inventive. You would surprised as to how big kids can't start my tractor. Makes one wonder what they do all day HUH??? Walt
