Sparktrician, as a retired engineer and now an Attorney who studied Patent Law (but am NOT a Patent Attorney and didnt set for the specialized Intellectual Property Patent Bar exam) back in my Law School days, THE BEST FREE ADVISE I HAVE IS TO CONSULT A PATENT ATTORNEY versus any lay opinions you may get here (somes good, other maybe not so good). You have to apply and search to see if your "invention" has already been awarded a patent. If what you have is good and perhaps worth something its best to consult a professional who specializes in intellectual property law because the money spent there might save and make you money, albeit if what you intend is already protected or not economically feasible, you will be out some legal fees...

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
