Neighbors called and said they needed a tire filled up. stuffed some tools and a jack in a wagon and decided to take the C over there. I filled the tank with gas from a can thats never been left in the rain recentially, and took off. She started on the third pull, and the second pull to come back.
We made it about half way up our driveway and she starts backfireing like no other. White spray or smoke mabey from the carb, black poofs from the muffler. She sounded horible. Limped her up to the garage and shut her down.
I think i got water in the gas, but its new gas and before this trip, i cranked her up when i got home from school today just for the heck of it. She promptly ran out of gas and so i went inside.
Got back out for this little trip and fueled her up. I know there was no water in the can or the tank, and i doubt the new gas is bad. This has to be something simple, but what??
