If I'm not mistaken, many 57's had 265's, too. I BELIEVE that most 283's in 57 were the higher horsepower "power pack" (4 bbl) engines. I believe most/ all 2bbl "lower end" engines were 265.
My first car was a 4 door 57 210, 265 2 bbl
