Just read an artical about the "dismal" car sales for March. They sold 857,735 in just the month of March ! I say that's one heck of alot of cars ! They were crying becauce last year in March they sold 1.36 million. With all those sold last year I sure would think those buyers would be set for at least 10 years before they need another.
I think they are reporting everything as doom and gloom when they just had too high of expectations from a few REALLY GOOD years of record sales. Did they seriously think sales could grow every year after year ? There are so many companies selling cars these days and the cars are lasting a long time too. Something had to give didn't it ?
If the Northern States like here in Ohio would quit using salt on the roads they would sell even less !!! they get eat to pieces in 10 years or less around here. I suspose they consider that in their plans ? This area used to have alot of car plants. The Counties musta figured they would help theirselves out if they could get the cars to not last as long. Just like engineers building in defects and knowing about them and not correcting them. A balancing act between building them "good enough" but not too good.
