Don't be silly,Nancy! I've replaced a ton of these.Takes all but 2 minutes!Leave the grille in.The only thing that might be in the way is your AFTERMARKET grille guard(not GM's fault).
Here's the procedure(although lengthy):
COMPOSITE HEADLAMP BULB REPLACEMENT
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
Two long screws from the top of the radiator support (Figure 4). Pull the headlamp assembly forward. Electrical connector from the burned out bulb assembly.
