I know a fella heavily involved in the tractor restoration business. Based on his previous comments, any thing that involves a high degree of shaping/molding will require a production run into the thousands to be profitable. He also indicated getting something like a JD 10 series fender tool box would take well over a hundred hours (he never gave an exact time) to produce the tooling to produce a high quality copy. There are potentially licensing issues with the OEM that may have to be dealt with. I bring this up to point out some of the hurtles that come up. I don't know if these have come up before but I have known people that have worked in similar industries as yours and have found general manufacturing a different game. I would say Ford N series, hundred series are probably being exploited pretty well. IH and Deere tractors made from the early 60's into the 1980's offer possibilities on units that had production runs into the tens of thousands each model.
