My wife wouldn't know an Oliver if it ran her over.....she told me later that her and my sister had overheard someone say it, and she thought it was very funny how grown men could sit around and pay 10 bucks to use their old tractors to pull a sled up a field......it does sound kind of absurd when you think of it. But she did say...."do you think our tractor is big enough to pull anything?" So maybe their is hope for her......maybe she needs an Oliver for her birhtday.... Take Care steve

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
