Saturday, did chores. Went to a auction to watch a cattle working sweep and alley sell. On the way back I stopped at TSC for supplies. Came home and checked on the cows then went to Farm King to get the things they didnt have at TSC. Came back home, played with the dog and sat and talked with dad for awhile, got the tractor and blade and cleaned off the concrete feed floor at the Higgs farm. Did chores then called it a day. Supper with friends in the evening. Sunday, did chores then my helpers and I hauled manure and ground feed till noon. Noon was easter diner, lots of family and lots of food. About two o'clock was back to work. Took a load of feed to the cows then back to the manure spreading till about 6pm. Did chores then headed in for the night. This morning. It was 36 and pouring rain. The cows are having calves and the weather is crappy, again. I was dreading what I might find. In the south shed was a happy healthy little heifer and her momma. She came last night in the shed, nice and dry. When you get to do what you want every day, they are all pretty special. bill
