James, the pics bring bitter-sweet memories of a like machine and a Deere lister 2 row planter on my grandfathers place in Fannin county. Those two horse drawn machines served regular duty on his and our farms well into the 50s then occasionaly up to early 70s.I have often marveled why things never seized up and how the lister type planter reappeared after we struggled with those contracptions where a chain drove the planter from a gog mounted on the brake-drum of N-fords.I could waste half an afternoon and a gallon of iced tea reliving reallife involving those two machines.Thank you.I always injoy your pics.
